Why hunt Red Hartebeest?
Red hartebeest are fast, highly visible herd antelope of open grassland and lightly wooded country. Their sloping back, elongated face and strongly angled horns make them unmistakable. Their elevated eyes and herd vigilance give them excellent awareness across open ground.
A hunt commonly starts with long-range glassing before using folds in the ground, vegetation or a wide downwind approach to reduce the distance. Because the species is built differently from many other antelope, the Professional Hunter should clearly explain the correct aiming point before the shot.
The final plan depends on current availability, quota, permits, selected hunting area and the trophy quality confirmed with you before the hunt.
