Giraffe Hunting in South Africa
Giraffe are the worlds tallest terrestrial mammals and specialised browsers of savanna and open woodland. Their height gives them exceptional vision, while their patterned coats break up the outline among trees. Adult males are substantially heavier than females and may darken with age.
Why hunt Giraffe?
Giraffe are the worlds tallest terrestrial mammals and specialised browsers of savanna and open woodland. Their height gives them exceptional vision, while their patterned coats break up the outline among trees. Adult males are substantially heavier than females and may darken with age.
A responsible giraffe hunt requires deliberate animal selection, sufficient rifle performance, exact knowledge of anatomy and a calm, supported shot. Recovery, field work, meat use and trophy preparation are significant logistical considerations and must be planned with the outfitter before the hunt.
The final plan depends on current availability, quota, permits, selected hunting area and the trophy quality confirmed with you before the hunt.
